About Me
I'm an award-winning teacher in the Atlanta area with experience teaching at every level from elementary school to college. You can read more about my career here.
I started this website in 2019 in hopes of sharing positive stories and practices from my classroom at a time when most of what we were hearing about schools was negative. In 2020, I pivoted sharply to providing resources for and perspectives on the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on teaching and learning. When online learning ended, I drifted back to my original intent - to provide you with a look into the real mind and classroom of a public school teacher at a time when so much of what is shared about us is negative, demeaning, and untrue. As of 2023, I've been writing heavily about my experience implementing Building Thinking Classrooms In Mathematics, as well.
